General Itinerary

Marla, our tour guide, is professionally trained and certified by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. She will help guide us through the many sites...from the historical sites in Jerusalem and the Galilee to a float in the Dead Sea! We plan to sleep in huts in the desert, enjoy a wonderful kibbutz near the Dead Sea, and celebrate several nights of Chanukah in Jerusalem...and more! Please join us.

You Are Invited!

Recently, I met with Rafe and Olivier to discuss the trip. Frankly, I'd been a bit nervous they might want to meditate their way through Israel. (I wasn't sure I could do that for so many days/hours in a row!).

It was when Rabbi Olivier began sharing some of his expectations for this trip that I realized it's going to be filled with surprises. Since he lived in Israel for nearly 10 years and feels like Jerusalem is his second home, Olivier wants to share some of his favorite places. To my surprise, this will include a visit to his favorite falafel stand and, after a long day, perhaps sharing a beer at a pub overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem! (Now, since Olivier is originally from France, I thought a winery or two might be a nice touch, too!)

And Rafe, for example, expressed how he remembered planting olive trees during a visit to Israel and suggested we doing something similar with this group. I said, "OK, why not?"

Between the magic of Israel and the many gifts that Olivier and Rafe offer, I am sure this will be a journey of a lifetime and fun for those who have been to Israel several times and for you first-timers.
